ChannelOnline Launches Version 4.5

SAN FRANCISCO, CA August 11, 2006 - CNET Channel, a property of CNET Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNET), is pleased to announce our latest version of ChannelOnline goes live today! The 4.5 release continues CNET Channel's ongoing efforts to make significant improvements to the core ChannelOnline product - delivering administrators the ability to set-up external URL links within ChannelOnline, links to the Autotask product to help manage professional services, and enhanced support for Bell Microproducts, BlueStar, and Dexxon Digital Storage.

ChannelOnline 4.5 Feature Release on August 11, 2006. The major features in the version 4.5 release are:

Administrative Management

External Links - Ability to set up external URL links within ChannelOnline in the following areas:

  • Customer account view
  • Sales documents
  • StoreSite

You can use these external URL links to launch a new browser window and link to any external URL such as your accounting system, company website, etc. ChannelOnline merge fields, with encryption option, are available to embed within the URL if desired.

With the launch of External Links, we will be building a library of links to complementary products and services. If you have suggestions, or develop links that you would like to share with other ChannelOnline resellers, please post them in the Forums under Announcements - Share External Links.

We have worked with Autotask to provide links into their product and have posted them in the Forum under Announcements - Share External Links.
